Membership Qualifications & Dues

 

* Application for New Membership

Please download the 2 page membership form (see below), complete it, and present it to the membership chairman. You may also scan or take a photo of the completed form and email to the clubs email address at: iecaliforniawritersclub@gmail.com.

– Active $65 –

New Members will be designated Active meaning they paid in full ($65.00) and have full privileges (i.e., vote, able to serve on the board).

– Supporting $65 –

Supporting memberships are available to those who wish to contribute and/or maintain Branch membership.

– Student $15 –

Student memberships are offered to writers from the ages of eight through twenty-two.

* Renewal of Membership – $45

Members in good standing have until September 30 to renew their membership at the local branch. On October 1, CWC shall drop all delinquent members from the rolls. If dropped, a member must pay the new $65 member enrollment fees. (To make sure you don’t miss the expiration date, PAY AT THE JULY OR AUGUST MEETING!)

Fresh Ink

The Inland Empire Branch of the California Writers Club publishes their journal Fresh Ink monthly. Submissions are actively solicited from the IECWC membership. Subscription is included in membership fee.

Benefits of Membership

1. Free entrance into monthly meeting of the club (in person and/or on Zoom)
2. Free entrance to a monthly Critique Group (when face to face meetings can be held)
3. Free exposure by submitting your writing and/or photography to our monthly Fresh Ink online newsletter
4. Access to monthly speakers on different writing and publishing topics
5. Access to other club members with levels of expertise who can mentor you
6. Availability to submit your writings to be showcased in the Southern California Writers Showcase at www.socalwritersshowcase.com
7. Have your bio, photo, your social media contacts and your published books advertise for free on our own website at iecwc.com
8. Membership into CWC statewide organization of which you may take part and even be on their board at calwriters.org
9. Opportunities to be on the board or serve on committees of your local chapter (IECWC)
10. Partake, volunteer, and/or help plan our Spring and Fall Conferences which are provided at little or no cost to all members
11. Read the triannual CWC Bulletin that comes to you free of charge with news from the other twenty-one branches of the CWC
12. Camaraderie among other writers at all levels and all genres. All ages welcome and under adult age students get a discount
